Rev. Stephen Rehrauer, CSsR; Rev. Mark Attard, O.Carm

Thursdays - 5, 12, 19, 26 March 2009

Our society is barraged daily with news of death, terrorism and destruction of human life. Society is horrified and protests loudly and clearly. But there are some other areas where human life is equally, taken, destroyed, manipulated and engineered. And yet these issues are frequently welcomed and applauded by the very same society. How can we reflect intelligently on such matters as end of life issues, the creation and development of human stem cells, artificial techniques of human reproduction, cloning, and cybernetics?  It is urgent that our knowledge and positions on these issues are crystal clear!

Rev. Stephen Rehrauer, CSsR, is Associate Professor of Moral Theology at the Accademia Alfonsiana in Rome.

Rev. Mark Attard, O.Carm, is a Professor of Bioethics and Relational Ethics at the Pontifical Gregorian University, where he is also head of the Moral Theology Department.
