Co-Workers in the Vineyard of the Lord:
Called
to Communion, Called to Mission
A Rome
Seminar
1 July - 6 July 2009
PROGRAM
DESCRIPTION
In their 2005 statement Co-Workers in the
Vineyard of the Lord, the U.S. bishops stated that, "communion
and mission provide the foundation for understanding and carrying
out lay ecclesial ministry."
This program draws upon the unique historical,
artistic, theological and spiritual resources of the city of Rome in
order to deepen our grasp of this truth. The program is an
integrated experience of spiritual growth, intellectual development,
personal enrichment, and a broad appreciation of social and pastoral
situations experienced by lay ecclesial ministers throughout the
world. A unique and not-to-be missed opportunity to learn,
share and be spiritually refreshed for all lay ecclesial ministers.
