You are cordially
invited to The Lay Centre's 2008 Fall Sunday Evening for University
Students:
The Dignity of Work:
Christian Discipleship in the Marketplace

with
Sr. Helen Alford, OP
For
Christians, and for believers in general, living a unified life,
where our faith influences all that we do, is a goal to which we all
aspire. Bringing our faith to bear on our work is part of that, but
in many work situations it may not be easy to see how to do this.
This evening will explore some key dimensions of the link between
faith and work so as to help make a closer link between them - with
the goal of living more unified, coherent lives.
Sr. Helen Alford is the Dean of the Faculty of
Social Sciences of the Pontifical University of St Thomas (Angelicum).
Her publications include the works: Managing as if Faith
Mattered: Christian Social Principles in the Modern Organisation
(University of Notre Dame Publications 2001), and Preaching
Justice: Dominican Contributions to Social Ethics in the Twentieth
