Term" Study Program in Rome

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This program is a
January Term offering for undergraduate students at St Mary's
College of California to deepen their Christian identity and
spirituality by exploring various theological themes in the Eternal
City. Lectures, discussions and site visits will focus on the
history of theology as reflected in the art and architecture of
Rome, with a particular emphasis on early Christianity.
The January Term
Study Program in Rome will be lead by Dr. David Gentry-Akin,
Associate Professor of Theology at St Mary's College of California.
Program Features:
+ daily liturgical
celebrations
+ the Jan Term semester is directed and taught by Dr. David Gentry-Akin, with various professors
in Rome, including Dr. Donna Orsuto and Prof. Robert White
+ guided visits to significant churches and Christian sites
+ study excursions to Assisi & Subiaco
+
opportunities for guided discussion and theological reflection
